I began working with children while at school myself, when I ran the PR and Marketing for a young woman’s magazine. We centred on 13 - 15 yr old girls encouraging them to try new hobbies and experiences. I also volunteered at a local nursery for an afternoon a week, where I discovered that I was not necessarily a baby person, but I loved reading and playing with the 2&3 yr olds. After leaving school, I was asked to return and run a couple of Macbeth master classes for yr 10s and this was when my love of teaching really took off. Following this, I taught several other master classes and went on to work for Theatre Train Cambridge as their Musical Theatre teacher. Before leaving for drama school I was also lucky enough to work with the Cambridge University playscheme which gave me a clearer insight into working with children out of the classroom.

Since completing a post-grad at Drama Studio London I have taught hundreds of children all over London a massive range of subjects; from Victorian Drama to scientific marvels, I've been there! I began working for The People's Theatre Company in 2006 as a drama teacher in one of their after school clubs, and in early 2007 I became their education officer meaning I was responsible for the growth of the business. Although my work had been successful and class sizes and number of classes are both up, I really missed the actual teaching, and this (plus several acting jobs) lead me to return to the world of freelance drama teaching!

Since going freelance I have worked with a variety of different companies both covering their lessons and as regular staff.

Companies include: Stage Giant, Stagecoach Cheam, Little Actors Theatre Company, Stagecoach Ealing, Drama Queens, Mad Science, Stagecoach Hanwell, Drama Circle Workshops.

I have also taught in a variety of schools; from PPA cover to productions or after school drama clubs and LAMDA classes.

Schools I have taught at include: Grey Court School, Strand on the Green Primary, Laleham Primary, Chasebridge Primary, Fernhill Primary, Nelson Primary, St Jude's Primary, Stanley Primary & many many more.

In the last year I have been concentrating on more specialist workshops and classes. I have been teaching LAMDA lessons both privately and within schools for the last year and am extremely proud of the results we have been achieving. Just this year, over 70% of my students have been awarded distinction and I have just finished an extremely successful LAMDA evening at Grey Court School, showcasing their students speeches. I have also been working on my theatre company's classes and have taught specialist workshops in TV, Audio Drama and Sound Effects.
